he Blue Candlelight Music Series was founded in 2002 as the brainchild of Daredjan "Baya" Kakouberi and Lisa Blue. Their vision was to enrich the cultural fabric of Dallas by presenting performances by world class musicians in the intimate surroundings of an elegant private home. In that way an audience could experience classical music and close contact with musicians recreating the atmosphere in which chamber music masterpieces were originally performed.

Baya Kakouberi, Artistic Director of the series, is a Georgian concert pianist with extensive worldwide chamber music experience. Through her large network of world-class artists, she is able to bring in some of the finest talent on any stage to the Blue Candlelight Series. Past audiences have not only enjoyed oustanding performances, but have also gained a much deeper insight through program notes and personal contact with the musicians. It is this intimate home setting that was intended by the composers themselves that makes the Blue Candlelight Music Series unique when compared to any other programs performed in larger venues.
